thought i would share a couple
more wedding dresses w/you today...
my mother's wedding dress...
early 40s ecru silk satin....
sweetheart neckline...long pointed sleeves...
tiny covered buttons all the way down the
back..and..real ones...no snaps behind
these....
ruching on the bodice.....simply elegant...and...
once again...a teeny tiny waist.....
now here i am in the 90s when i first
opened fannie rose....
the same reporter who did an article on
came and did an article for
fannie rose's opening...
i am wearing a silk 1920's wedding dress...
along w/my catherine d's hat and
pearls...
let me say...1920s dresses in this
style ran large-ish unlike most
period garb...
which enabled me to fit
into it...not sure i would
be able to today...nearly
20 years later...
well...that's the journey for today...
hoping to dig out some more
fashions to share w/you
all...
be well...
warmly........susan
